Students will
explore different mediums of art while learning about art history and influences
in our society. Each students will create work which can be taken home each week
and saved for a final art exhibit at the end of each program.

LIFE
|
LIFE will thrill students as they discover life all around them. Recognizing organisms in the
neighborhood, life cycles, and to the relationship between the Sun, Moon and the Earth. Students will
learn about life on Earth and how water makes it available to have life. They will learn about recycling and see how animals and plants adapt and change.

THE INVENTORS
|
Great inventors have been credited for changing the western world,
its government, economy, and culture. The need for food and resources is a fantastic vehicle to provide an exciting learning adventure
to captivate students. Students will expand their discovery of the incredible world through cooking, health and nutrition while they practically
apply social studies by learning about such inventors as Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Gail Borden, Joseph Glidden, Michael DeBakey,
Eli Whitley and Millie Highes-Fulford. These inventors helped to propel the state of Texas and our nation to where it is today.
Students will learn about history and economy while learning about natural resources, distribution and manufacture of products and services.

MATTER, ENERGY & OUR EARTH

Students will learn about different temperature scales and
states of matter, go from historic discoveries to see how matter and energy are used during our present time. Students will learn about
life-sciences and how matter and energy are present. Kids will make observations regarding plants, animals, fruits adn vegetables, spices
and herbs along with how our ecosystem affects them. Kids will also observe property and matter along with their changes and the effects
of man's manipulation.

Students will shine as they explore the history of the uses
of motion, force and energy. The food industry is responsible for much in industry and has cutting edge dishes based on food science that
uses motion, force and energy. Students will explore scientific processes and concepts in order to engage their world as it relates to
cooking, health and wellness.

OUR SOLAR SYSTEM

Learning about the planets is exciting. In Texas, we have NASA!
We also have many of the aerospace manufacturers to help us get to the stars. In this program kids will learn about the various objects
that make up our solar system. Chefsville Kids will take students to the moons of Jupiter, and explore the possibility of life on these
distant worlds. Travel through the expanse of the universe and discover just how much SPACE there really is. Students will learn how
modern day scientists are pushing the limits of space exploration every day.

WEATHER
|
Weather is a great way of showing light, heat and sound along with
their impace upon the Earth. Nothing shows the Earth foces more than weather. Chefsville Kids will take students on an adventure
through different forms of weather, storms and disasters while discussing weather safety. This program educates through games,
forecasting, and experiments. Weather instruments will be shown and explained along with a discussion about various scientists
who have pioneered weather science.

THE PILGRIMS

The Pilgrims will allow students to discover the
purposes and adventures of this European settler group and their impact on the USA. Students will gain perspective
from the different people involved such as John Smith, William Bradford and others. They will see the Pilgrims were
determined to adapt to a strange environment and the need for developing relationships. Students will discover more
about Thankgiving as a national holiday and taste a special dish made during that time.

GREAT STATE OF TEXAS

Students will discover the richness of Texas history as they learn
about the Battle of the Alamo, Six Flags that flew over Texas, westward expansion, geography, and great people who invluenced Texas and our
country. Additionally, important events such as Texas Revolution, the Republic of TX and the annexation of TX to the US will be covered;
as are the contributions of William B. Travis, James Bowie, David Crockett, Steven F. Austin, George Childress, Sam Houston, and Sidney Sherman.

our national heroes. From George Washington to President Obama, the role of the presidency has changed. Each decade brought new
challenges and adventure for America. Great Presidents is about bringing America alive to students through history, geography,
culture, government and economics. There are so many fascinating characters to be discovered.

GEORGE WASHINGTON

Few people are as exciting to learn about as "George Washington". Kids will
be thrilled by this Chefsville Kids workshop where by George, its all about George! The most famous of the founding fathers, presents awesome material
for kids of all ages covering history, storytelling, adventure, intrigue, excitement and discovery. George loved food and we know what he loved as
favorites. George's family will be discussed as well. Then students will partake of a cooking demonstration and tasting of a dish that our 1st
President loved to eat.

THOMAS JEFFERSON
|
Thomas Jefferson was an incredible figure from the birth of our country,
to his being an ambassador, to his working with making our government. His home, Monticello, is a living museaum in Virginia of all that he learned
about food, culture and creating an American way of life. Thomas Jefferson brought American foods to Europe and setup trade and commerce.
Jefferson helped setup our military and was a strategist. Students will learn about "Garden to Plate" and "quality of life" as well as maps
and westward expansion during Jefferson's presidency. Then students will partake of a cooking demonstration and tasting of foods loved by
Thomas Jefferson.

GREAT NATIVE AMERICANS

Chefsville Kids will bring students on an adventure about the
Great Indians who are the real Native Americans. Texas history is loaded with stories about the impacts of the great tirbes, Caddo,
Comache, Cherokee, and others. Students will shine as they focus on history, geography, economics, government, culture, citizenship
objectives using critical thinking, problem solving, relationship building and technology to develop conclusions by learning about
the Great Native American Indians.

CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS

Christopher Columbus will thrill students as they discover about the roots
of American history. They will learn the purposes and adventures of this Italian explorer and colonizer. Students will gain perspective from the different
people involved such as Amerigo Vespucci and others. Students will enjoy a cooking demonstration and taste a special dish made during that time. A lively
presentation about Christopher will allow students to climb on board the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria as they embark on adventures to the New World.

BATTLE OF THE ALAMO

The Battle of the Alamo allows students to learn about one of the great
events of Texas history that helped shape our nation. They will learn about the issues that lead up to the Battle as they gain perspective from the
different players such as David Crockett, William Travis, Sam Houston and others. A lively presentation about the Spanish settlements and Catholic
missions in Texas will be given along with the timeline and motivations. Students will partake in a cooking demonstration and tasting of an
authentic dish served at the Alamo.

The EXPLORERS

Students will learn about famous explorers who changed the world through their discoveries.
Explorers covered could be Columbus, Cortes, Francis Drake, Ferdidaand Magellan, Juan Sebastian Elcano, John C. Fremont who discovered the Oregon Trail,
Salvador Fidalgo, Ferdinand Vandeveer Hayden who discovered the Rocky Mountains & Western US, Bruno de Heceta, Sir Walter Raleigh, Hernando de Soto,
Tanaka shosuke and Hasekura Tsunenaga who in the 17th century discovered Mexico, along with Icelandic explorers who discovered America hundreds of
years before Christopher Columbus, and many others. The search for riches and new foods is a major reason exploration and discovery happened.
